And so the land grab begins

August 2018 has come to an end, and so we must induct another into the Sick Phoque Club. This month, it's Cyril Ramaphosa, the current President of South Africa, who is starting his quest to bend it like Mugabe. Black people owning their fair share of the land I'm all for, but let's face it, South Africa still needs the white land owners at the moment. Ramaphosa only needs to look at what happened in Zimbabwe to see that it's a bad idea as far as the economic health of the nation.

Hot streak ends for Red Devils

Brighton and Hove Albion were the victors in game 2 of the season, with goals by Murray, Duffy, and Groß sealing Manchester United's fate by halftime. Lukaku scored a goal for the Reds before the break, as did Pogba in injury time in the second half, but it just wasn't enough. It's still early days, though, and there's still 36 more chances for redemption. Let's just hope that they don't squander them.

Sixth time could yet be the charm

Manchester United started their season with three well-deserved points after beating Leicester City 2-1, with goals by Pogba in the 3rd minute and Shaw in the 83rd. Leicester scored through an injury-time hit courtesy of Vardy, but the damage had been well and truly done at that point in the proceedings. Just another 37 games to win, and Man United will have the Premier League trophy in their cabinet for the first time in the post-Ferguson era.
