Champions League qualification secured

Manchester United ended the season by winning the UEFA Europa League for the first time in the club's history, following a convincing 2-0 win over AFC Ajax in Stockholm. Goals from Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in either half earned a victory over the Dutch giants at the Friends Arena, completing the club's trophy collection and sealing qualification to the 2017/18 Champions League group stage, as well as the UEFA Super Cup in Macedonia this coming August. The victory on an emotional night in Sweden was the perfect way to sign off the 2016/17 campaign and Jose Mourinho's first season in charge of the Reds. Hopefully next year they will win the Premiership as well.
