Don hates the Guardians
And for it, he is in line for a unique dishonour, said dishonour being the Sick Phoque Club. And entering it, again I might add, is Don the Con himself. Trump announced on the 20th who he doesn't want to see win the Republican primary in Ohio to fill retiring Sen. Rob Portman's Senate seat - Ohio state Sen. Matt Dolan, who formally jumped into the race earlier in the day. And why is His Orangeness up in arms about that, I hear you ask? Dolan's family owns the Cleveland Indians and plans to rename the team the Guardians after this season concludes. 'Anybody that changes the name of the once storied Cleveland Indians to the Cleveland Guardians should not be running for the U.S. Senate,' Trump said. They shouldn’t be using Native American imagery anyway, especially with a team name which invokes a completely different country altogether (one more time for those in the back: NATIVE AMERICANS ARE NOT FROM INDIA). The Washington Redskins of the NFL and the Edmonton Eskimos (now the Elks) of the CFL both stopped doing it, so it’s only right the Indians team name receives a heap good scalping too. And who knows, maybe their Trail of Tears will end next year after over 70 years without a World Series win - a record bested only by the Cubs’ 108-year drought from 1908 to 2016.
