And as with every anniversary before it comes the Yogis. It's not just about the dank memes on here, for there are some people who were smarter than the average. Let's start with our Covid response. Over the past year, such things as social distancing, controversial mask mandates, and lockdown after lockdown have been par for the course in most of the world. But not in New Zealand, where except for the odd blip, most of the country has been lucky to avoid that. May 13 of last year was the last point of time that any part of the country outside of Auckland has been in a Level 3 lockdown, with the regions having remained in either Level 1 or Level 2 ever since. Over the past 10 months, New Zealand has had experiences the rest of the world can only dream of.
