The teams who were smarter than the average team - I’m talking about the NFL’s Washington Redskins and the CFL’s Edmonton Eskimos, both of which have dropped their racially-charged nicknames. It may have taken a pandemic and the resurgence of Black Lives Matter, but at least it finally happened. An honourable mention also goes to Pascall, who are rebranding their Eskimo lollies (packet pictured below for the benefit of those who are not from New Zealand and don’t know what the hell I’m talking about) to Explorers. Whatever they’re called, I’m sure they will be flying off supermarket shelves up and down the country at record speeds during a future Level 4 that I hope never happens.
