Isis Jafas paid well with trespass notice
Four Auckland men have been trespassed from a Dunedin cinema after waving a wad of cash around and saying "Isis pays well" on Anzac Day. The incident unfolded as the men went to buy tickets at Dunedin's Rialto cinema on Thursday evening. One of the group said "Isis pays well" while holding a large amount of cash. His actions "caused a bit of anxiety in the cinema", Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen said. The group of four were trespassed by the Moray Place cinema and police were called. The men, all aged in their late 20s, were in on holiday from Auckland. When asked by police why they made the comments, the group replied "it was a joke". Given the current climate and especially with the mosque shootings last month, it was a pretty retarded idea for a joke. And besides, the cinemas in Dunedin aren’t that flash when it comes to choice - you only have three different operations just a few minutes walk from each other. In Christchurch, there are eight different cinemas and they’re more spread out across the city.

Silva, Sané deal the derby damage
Manchester City struck an important blow in their pursuit of a second successive Premier League title with a convincing derby victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford. Pep Guardiola's side knew anything but a win would leave Liverpool at the top of the table and in charge of their own destiny with only three games left. City were anxious in a goalless first 45 minutes but turned up the heat after the break to win 2-0 and take them one point clear at the top of the table. The issue here is that the wrong Mancunians won today and I am not happy. I am not happy with the continued Premiership drought. It has been six whole years since their last league victory. And I am not happy with the shit that passes for management these days. The team has gone through four different managers since Fergie left. Even Brendon Tarrant could do a better job at managing a football team than any of those wankers that tried to be the next Sir Alex.

- This is Everton's biggest margin of victory against the Reds in any competition since beating them 5-0 in October 1984, and also Man United's biggest defeat to any opposition since losing 4-0 to Chelsea in October 2016.
- It is also their fifth consecutive away defeat across all comps, and the longest such run since a similar five-game streak in 1981.
- Manchester United have conceded 48 goals so far this season, their highest ever tally in a single season and their most in a league campaign since conceding 63 in 1978-79.

He said there were others
The suspected Christchurch mosque gunman told his arresting officers he was one of nine people involved in the March 15 terror attack, sources say. The prospect other offenders may still have been at large prompted a citywide lockdown of schools and businesses, and into the afternoon police still believed they were looking for multiple active shooters – at one point the figure six was circulated among staff. Police Commissioner Mike Bush has confirmed in statements and interviews that the attack involved only one shooter. Two police officers rammed the gunman's car on Brougham St at 2.02pm on March 15 – 21 minutes after police received the first 111 call from the Al Noor Masjid on Deans Ave. A passer-by took a video of the suspect's arrest, which shows the police officers pull the suspect out of the car and drag him along the footpath away from his vehicle – a gold Subaru that allegedly had two bombs (improvised explosive devices) and firearms inside. 43 people were shot and killed at that mosque. A further seven were allegedly fatally shot at the Linwood mosque. Police stopped the suspect as he allegedly sped to his third target, the Ashburton Masjid. If that was me, I would have gone to Linwood first, to save time and petrol versus having to travel east for attack number 2 and then back west for attack number 3. And I would have taken the time to study the mosques with particular emphasis on Linwood as the shooter didn’t know his way round, which contributed to the lower death toll there. And I would also be making a stopover at the An-Nur kindergarten on Springs Road on my way to Ashburton.

2-1 for another easy three
But there is also a more pressing issue: the month has come to an end and we must induct another to the Sick Phoque Club. This month, it is the people of New Zealand. I have this to say to you all: WAKE UP NEW ZEALAND! YOU ARE BEING CONNED BY RECENT ACTIVITY! According to our idiotic leader and her sheeple, we are a nation filled with racists, white supremacists, and Islamophobes. Comrade Ardern is using this hate speech to silence us and to change laws and in doing so is breaching our democratic rights as well as ignoring the promises she made to listen to the people of this country before making any changes. I can only wonder if our prime minister could be hiding a nasty little secret? Is she afraid of something else being made public? I believe she is using this terrible killing spree for political gain and also to cover for her own incompetence and lack of knowledge... Before Comrade Ardern et al all rush to crucify me - let me explain: There is an ulterior motive for the Prime Minister’s hasty action against legal and law abiding gun owners in this once free country. I (and many others) believe she wants to exonerate herself from blame for allowing and even assisting this terrorist to commit this disgusting act. What happens if it becomes more widely known that she was responsible for relaxing New Zealand’s gun laws in December. With virtually no publicity, the Prime Minister presided over an executive committee that introduced significant changes to the gun laws late last year. In her notoriously deceitful way, she cunningly used an Order in Council to avoid Parliamentary scrutiny. She then introduced the Arms (Electronic Transactions) Amendment Regulations 2018, which came into effect on January 20th, 2019. Under this sweeping new change to the firearms regulations, any prospective terrorist is basically given free rein to apply to become a gun dealer, get a firearms license, obtain an endorsement for a restricted firearm, secure a permit to buy a military-style semi-automatic firearm, or import a restricted weapon... All now easily able to be done online through the internet. Thank you Comrade Ardern for meddling in something you have little knowledge about and for having the audacity to do so in secret. Until this change was made, anyone wanting a gun permit or license had to physically front up to their nearest Police Station to hand in their application. If the gun they were purchasing had to be officially verified, it then had to be taken back into the Police Station for the check. As far as military-style semi-automatic firearms are concerned, the previous system was rigorous – anyone with an E-category endorsement wanting to buy a new gun had to visit their Police Station for a permit, show the permit to the seller, and then take the firearm back to the Police for verification. Under the law changes cunningly sneaked through by our supposed leader, not only can applications for restricted weapons be carried out in relative anonymity through the internet – including the vetting of military-style firearms by video – but an endorsement to own a military-style semi-automatic firearm, pistol, or any other restricted weapon, can also be applied for online. This is stupidity of the highest level and reflects very badly on our prime minister... but also reflects equally badly on our police who are supposed to act in the best interest of the public. What cop in his right mind could possibly think such sweeping and extreme changes could be good? Were the cops kept in the dark about these changes too -- unlikely as it impacts on their job and their ability to carry out the work we expect from them. While the current untrustworthy Government is never going to admit it these sneaky changes were obviously introduced in an effort to save money (probably due to extreme overspending on advisory committees and working groups set up for trivial things instead of getting experienced advice on this topic involving firearms). A Police consultation document published in January this year states that "76 district-based Arms Licensing Officers and 280 Firearms Licensing Vettors will be disestablished and replaced with a centralized bureaucracy based at Kapiti." Unfortunately, the link in the document to the Police website for further information is no longer working. This would leave one to presume, the whole firearms licensing proposal has been exposed for the idiotic ends and I'll think it really is and has been ditched. Facts are the killer used the internet to buy guns, Jacinda Ardern’s new law changes may well have contributed to the tragedy. Under the old system, this terrorist would have been required to front up to a Police Station and be interviewed by an experienced and specialized Police Arms Officer. There is a likelihood such a fanatical person would have been nervous and suspicious and alarm bells just would have started to ring. To add to the insult of sneaking through law changes that possibly attributed to this disaster this communist-style government is keeping the general public in the dark over what motivated the Australian killer to take the lives of so many New Zealanders. To ensure the public never find out the truth, they have censored the document written by this man and made it an offense to even possess this document - punishable by more jail time that is received by child molesters or sex offenders! Why is the government so keen to hide this information and prevent people knowing what this idiot's reasons were? What has this government got to hide that we don't know about -- apart from making the secret law changes that allowed this to happen? I personally believe Jacinda Ardern has betrayed this country. I also believe she has deceived the entire country in making such sweeping changes with no knowledge or understanding of the consequences. I personally think this terrorist should face the wrath of the law or be handed over to the Muslim people he claims to have the argument with. Let them deal with him as they see fit--we all know how that will end. Finally, I lay a large portion of the blame for what happened squarely at the feet of Jacinda Ardern and each and every member of her government and followers. No amount of Acadamy Award worthy acting, dressing up as a Muslim, changing laws without public consultation or hiding facts through the misuse of censorship will change the facts that you sneaked through law changes that allowed gun laws to be relaxed and now we have had 50 people killed. Don't continue to deceive the people when the costs of your deception is do high. Rant over - let the communist Ardern and her sheeple start the roast.

And it's hard to believe how far we've come over the course of this decade. For much of 2010, the iPhone 3GS was the most advanced phone you could get, but in 2019, the 3GS sucks compared to the XS and XS Max, and even the high-end Android models of the last couple of years are a lot more desirable than an iPhone 3GS. Also of note is the epic journey that is the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It may have been nearly eleven years since the first entry, Iron Man, but the franchise still has many a story to tell, like what will happen to the Avengers in Endgame next month, and will continue to tell those at the current rate of three per year with or without Stan Lee. And there are many more I won't go into just yet. Buckle up because the 2020s will bring innovation that will put other decades to shame.

Guess who thinks we can do better?
New Zealand has received advice from a wide range of countries on how to improve its human rights, including from Venezuela, Russia, Syria, and Myanmar. The advice is included in the United Nations Human Rights Council draft report on New Zealand. Justice Minister Andrew Little led a delegation of 14 to Geneva in January to report on advances in New Zealand human rights and discuss where improvements could be made. Areas of concern included disparities for Maori in employment and life expectancy, imprisonment rates, discrimination on the basis of gender identity, the gender pay gap, and family violence.
The council selected Brazil, Saudi Arabia, and Slovakia from its 47 members to run the review of New Zealand, and various countries have made specific recommendations for New Zealand to consider which are listed in the draft report:
- Russia wants New Zealand to consider not only a written constitution but wants to see the Treaty of Waitangi enshrined in law.
- Venezuela wants the Bill of Rights Act to be given a constitutional status and it wants to see women and girls guaranteed a life free from violence.
- Iran wants New Zealand to improve anti-discrimination legislation to ensure the protection of rights of ethnic minorities.
- Belarus wants to see less over-crowding in prisons and better access of prisoners to quality medical services.
- Myanmar wants New Zealand to close the pay gap in the public service.
- Syria wants immediate steps taken to combat solitary confinement in medical facilities holding juveniles, people with intellectual or psychosocial disabilities, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers in prisons, and in all healthcare institutions.
- China wants to see effective measures to combat human trafficking and to protect the rights of migrant workers.
- Oman wants New Zealand to strengthen measures in the area of women's empowerment and the promotion of equal opportunities for women.
Closer friends also made specific recommendations for New Zealand to consider:
- Australia wants New Zealand to amend the Human Rights Act 1993 to explicitly prohibit discrimination on the basis of gender identity and intersex status.
- Britain wants New Zealand to consider introducing legislation requiring businesses to report publicly on transparency in supply chains, and to eliminate practices of modern slavery in New Zealand and beyond its borders.
- And the United States wants New Zealand to take action to ensure the provision of physical and mental health services for those in detention facilities, as well as to reduce overcrowding in prisons.
New Zealand will provide responses to these before the next session of the Human Rights Council which runs from June 24 to July 12. And I think they should take some of that advice on board.
