What an incompetent court system the States has

This isn't about the courts ruling earlier this year that the First Amendment covers the Westboro Baptist Church's hateful campaign of gay-bashing. Two classmates of Phoebe Prince, who hanged herself in the stairwell of her family's apartment early last year, pleaded guilty to charges of criminal harassment, but other more serious charges were dismissed and neither will serve time. This is just stupid, and because of all the ridicule and teasing that caused Phoebe Prince to take her life, those two bellends are in part responsible for her death and they should've been charged with manslaughter. One year of probation and 100 hours community service just isn't enough given the scale of the aftermath of the incident in question. They should've been locked up in juvie until they turn 21.
