Who will become the new head?
Dominique Strauss-Kahn resigned as head of the International Monetary Fund, which he is widely credited with revitalizing at a pivotal time, throwing into high gear a global race to replace him following charges that he sexually assaulted a hotel worker in New York. It's a shame really, because under Mr. Strauss-Kahn, the IMF has played a key role in handling the fallout from the global financial crisis. It has bailed out more than a dozen countries with emergency loans, and worked with the European Union — less successfully — in keeping the crisis from spreading to Western Europe. I hope the new head will be just as good, if not better.
