This is post #60 so here goes

I think it's stupid how we Kiwis have to dial the area code before making a call outside of our local calling area even if it's in the same area code. For instance, to call a number in Dunedin from Christchurch, you have to dial it 03 429-9664 and not 429-9664 even though the number you're calling from is also in the 03 area code. However, over the ditch, that's not the case and you can dial a number in Sydney as 7010-8845 and not 02 7010-8845 despite being in the likes of Coffs Harbour (further north along the coast). That is just bollocks.
