What's the point of running for Parliament if you won't take your seat?
If you follow British or Irish politics, then you may have heard of a political party called Sinn Fein. They are a Unionist party that operates in both the Republic and the Six Counties (Northern Ireland). Even though they believe that Northern Ireland should secede from the UK and form a united Ireland, they still run for seats in the British House of Commons but they don't take them if they do win. And in the recent elections, they walked away with five seats but they're not going to take them. So what's the point of running? If I start something, I finish it. If I win a seat in any legislature, I take it. Sinn Fein should sort out their priorities.
