Guess who's back, back again? Camera Roll's back, tell a friend!
Apple users can now download the latest version of iOS 8, and with it comes a handful of new features, including Apple Pay, iCloud Photo Library, device continuity (accessing whatever you need on every device), and the return of the Camera Roll. iOS 8.1 comes just a few weeks after the launch of the first iteration of iOS 8 for iPhones and iPads, as well as the aborted release of iOS 8.0.1, the update that locked cellular service and Touch ID functionality for many iPhone users before it was quickly pulled. To get the update now, visit Settings > General > Software Update on your iOS device. While the update requires you to be connected to Wi-Fi for it to be installed, the good news is that it's only 126MB to download — much less than the 5.7GB needed to get iOS 8. This means you won't have to delete apps and photos to get the latest software. Although iOS 8.1 is now available, you might consider holding off just a bit, in case there are any major glitches with the update. Early adopters of the botched iOS 8.0.1 will likely proceed with caution this time around, but you should update if your iDevice is compatible. It will be worth it.
